About Us

Welcome to

Fishery Kope

We are a Peruvian company with Korean roots. We arrived in Peru in 2000 as a small firm, Pesquería Producto del Kope EIRL, and established ourselves in the southern part of the country, at the port of Matarani. Our story began there in 2005, driven by a vision of continuous improvement. We grew day by day—container by container—and built a reputation for ourselves within the Peruvian fishing industry. Years later, in 2018, what once seemed like a distant dream became a reality: we achieved our first major goal by building our own processing plant from the ground up in Mollendo. These new facilities allowed Pesquera Kope to expand its production capacity. Subsequently, in response to international market conditions and with the aim of further growth and an increased industry presence, we expanded in 2021 to one of Peru’s most significant fishing hubs—Paita—by acquiring Marine Product Service SAC (MPS SAC). Together with Pesquera Kope, we now have the capacity to freeze up to 100 tons of finished product per day. This led to the creation of Pesquera HL S.A.C., an export company named in honor of its founder, Hong-Lim, which handles the commercialization of fishery products from both processing plants.
Este fue el sueño del Sr. Hong, que ahora comparte con nosotros, sus frutos.”
